Spermatorrhea can’t be considered a disease, but mostly a condition and it implies excessive ejaculation. This happens involuntary and in an uncontrollable manner. It is very close to what we call night emissions or wet dreams, but it is however slightly different. It does not occur only when a person is asleep and it’s not always triggered by erotic dreams or thoughts. Many young boys in their teenage years or in their early adulthood are scared after they experience night emissions, because they are worried that something bad is happening with them and they are suffering of a disease. In fact, sporadic ejaculations during sleep are nothing to worry about and they don’t signalize any serious medical attention. Unfortunately, the problem of involuntary ejaculations is not very much discussed with physicians because most men decide to keep it for themselves. They feel embarrassed about talking such intimate issues with their doctors and no one really knows for sure when night emissions turn into spermatorrhea.

The Ayurvedic medicine also has a treatment for it and certain herbs are being administered to the one facing such problems.  Nowadays, our society and modern medicine don’t consider involuntary ejaculation a disorder that might cause medical consequences on the long run. The things that can go wrong with a person suffering of spermatorrhea refer to the fact that he might feel tired and might lack of sexual appetite.

The main difference between spermatorrhea and night emissions is that the ejaculation in case of spermatorrhea occurs without the presence of erotic dreams or thoughts and even at the slightest sexual provocation. Some connect this issue with prolonged abstinence or with constant excitation without any finality. Other opinions argue that abstinence is the solution to this problem. It is also believed that masturbation is related to occurrence of involuntary ejaculations.

However, spermatorrhea is also associated with the malfunctioning of the nervous system. A person suffering of this condition will have symptoms like tiredness, depression, loss of concentration and sometimes even memory loss.  Other men might experience a blurred vision and might feel incapable of making the same mental effort as before. The bottom line is that most symptoms associated with spermatorrhea are of psychological nature because the men acts like he is having a serious medical condition and isolates from the loved ones because he would be embarrassed if they would find out what he is going through.
